  • CFP® Certified Financial Planner
  • Diploma of Financial Planning

I grew up in Adelaide and started in the Wealth Management Industry in 1993 working for various institutions in Australia and the UK. I have been a financial adviser now for over 20 years. Outside of helping our clients and staff I spend as much time as I can with my two children and you will find me on my farm with my animals or racing rally cars in the various Australian Rally Championships.

Being there for client’s families when a loved one has unexpectantly passed away and assisting to give some comfort in the worst time of their life and some peace of mind.

My empathy for people, also I am a big picture person, I can cut through getting bogged down with detail.

Wealth is a resource to assist them to facilitate their dreams and objectives, it should give them piece of mind, not anxiety.

Ensuring we and our clients maintain confidence, discipline and patience, ‘stay the course’.

‘Losing my Virginity’ by Richard Branson purely for its Entrepreneurial Spirit

My two children, they are great kids.

Our People, they are smart, dedicated and passionate about seeing our clients realise their aspirations.

I grew up in the SA Mallee on a broadacre farm with my three siblings enjoying the freedom of lots of space. After finishing high school, I moved to Adelaide to pursue tertiary study. With a natural knack for numbers, I have been in the financial services industry for over 10 years, with a focus on financial planning and mortgage brokng.

I am lucky enough to be married with a beautiful wife and young 2.5 year old daughter which is keeping us both busy. We love to travel both locally and internationally when we get the chance, and relish getting out on weekends to enjoy all of Adelaide and its regions it has to offer. When I get to, I love going fishing and playing golf – two pastimes I haven’t seen enough of in recent years.

At the age of 30 I decided to switch into Financial Services after running the farm with my old man for a few years. Completing the study to become a Financial Planner and Mortgage Broker at a later age is something that I am proud of. It has allowed me to educate people and find solutions to put many people in a better position over the last 10 years.

Simply put, I am a people person. I get along with people very well, I have great empathy and can see things from different points of view. I get a real buzz out of educating people and can explain complex things concisely so people understand and can make informed decisions.

Lending provides people the option of being able to achieve their goals, be it a house, a vehicle or an investment. It is important to review your lending every couple of years as things can change in a person’s situation in a short amount of time (priorities, jobs, relationship status, etc). Rates are often changing too so what was competitive may no longer be the case, this is why I like to check in regularly with my clients to make sure they are still in a loan that suits their needs.

No two clients are ever the same, but this is also a positive of the job which keeps it interesting. Lending policy is always changing, some banks have an appetite for certain clients or transactions, this is why enabling my clients to have all the information and options upfront will always get a better outcome.

There have been so many, every week I get a kick out of knowing I can educate and help put my clients in a better position financially.

Outside of work I like to spend time with friends and family,. Having a child has been very rewarding and challenging at the same time! I spend a lot of time hanging out with mates watching AFL whilst the kids run around in the backyard. During the warmer months we like to spend time at the beach and stopping at the many playgrounds along the way.

To get comfortable with being uncomfortable and always be learning something new, this is applicable to both personal and professional life.

Interaction with my clients is the best part of the job. I enjoy asking the right questions to find out what people need from their finance requirements and why, then finding the best solution for their individual circumstances. The feeling never gets old when I get to call a client and let them know their loan is approved or the house they have just bought settled, it is not about the loan itself, it is the house they have just bought and the emotion this gives the client. Usually, they want to raise a family in that house or buy that investment property to help build wealth. Ultimately, it comes down to choice, if I can help people to reach some of these goals this makes me happy.

I have lived in Adelaide my whole life, and I couldn’t imagine raising my family anywhere else. Growing up, my mum would always talk to me about investing. So it was no real surprise that my first job out of school was with a Fund Manager.  I then progressed into Financial Planning, and have been working in the industry for almost 16 years.

Helping clients have financial peace of mind so that they are free to focus their energy on things that they enjoy. Helping people achieve what they want is very fulfilling.

Being a people person. I genuinely love spending time with and getting to know people. As well as helping people achieve things – whether it be big or small.

My favourite thing is volunteering at the language school in our community club. It makes my heart sing to see the younger generation take an interest in culture and tradition.

Probably something to do with coffee… I really love coffee.

There is something to learn from every single person I work with, and I value that.

The Happiest Refugee by Anh Do which made me realise that happiness is a choice, not a result. Also, that there is no reason to fear failure.

MORTGAGE BROKING ASSISTANT

ASIC Authorised Representative Number 226100

Grew up in a small city in the southern part of the country. After college, I went to Cebu to look for a better work opportunity and landed a job in the insurance industry for 7 years. Shifted to a virtual assistance job, working for 2 years now, to have a flexible work arrangement and go back home to the province. Now married and have a 9-month-old little boy who loves the outdoors and keeps me occupied. I love watching Korean dramas, cooking, going out, and trying out new things.

Being able to help clients with their goals to achieve their dream house or buy their investment property to build their wealth. Nothing is more fulfilling than helping them throughout the process and achieve it.

Probably being a client relationship-focused person and my ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team.

Giving value to every member of the team. Everyone is accepted, treated fairly, and appreciated in what they do.

Obtaining my Certificate IV in Finance & Mortgage Broking.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family. My family loves to gather every weekend for an afternoon snack or a barbecue night. I love going out with friends and trying new coffee shops and restaurants. And my favourite, a morning stroll around the city plaza with my little boy.

I always have been passionate about baking and cooking. I was my mother’s little helper in her small cake business way back then, so, probably I’ll have my own business.
